Welcome to the Island Kite School: We are a team of experienced local instructors. As “ kids of the island”, we were born with a deep love of the ocean. As locals, we are perfectly aware of the sea, its tides and the wind. A priceless wealth of knowledge and therefore one of the most important qualifications for safe and successful kitesurfing, surfing and wing foiling on Capo Verde. Thanks to our unique skills, we can offer you unforgettable experiences on the water. In addition to our in-depth knowledge of the local conditions and our many years of experience as instructors - both on Capo Verde and in Europe - we are happy to coach you in many different languages and accompany you on your way to your next goals.

"I have spent half my life in the water or on the beach - when did my enthusiasm become a passion? When I started sharing my fascination: I've been giving kitesurfing and surfing lessons since 2018. First in kite schools on Sal and for the last five years in our kite & surf school on Ponta Preta Beach. In the summer months I like to gain new experiences in European kite schools, e.g. in Portugal (Algarve Watersport).I love the challenge of learning and teaching new things."

After gaining important experience in various kite schools on Sal, we have been teaching on Ponta Preta beach (in front of the RIU Cabo Verde) since 2020. We meanwhile know the bay and its different tides better than anyone else on the island. This makes teaching easier for us and guarantees our students the ultimate fun."

In addition, I support kitesurfing schools in Italy (Epic Gust, Kite Coaching, Lake Como), Spain (Duotone Pro Center, Tenerife) or Portugal (Solid, Algarve) during the summer months.I'm always happy to meet anyone who is interested in my passion - whether beginners or advanced surfers, to share tips for the perfect jump."

"The “King of the Sky” has been gaining experience as a kiter since 2016 and has earned his nickname with his meter-high jumps. We are very proud that he has been adding his knowledge and experience to our "Island Kite School"-team since 2025. He teaches both beginners, with a lot of calm and composure, as well as advanced riders, with many tips and tricks for the ultimate jump need.
